Yes. Depending on how hard you are using the drives you may not want to do this due to the heat output.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the surface is flat, so you can stack it. I would avoid doing that, though, at is increases the overall heat of the drives, as well as the vibrations. Heat and vibration are the 2 biggest reasons for drive failure, so be cautious.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is flat. Multiple units can be stacked upon another on their rubber feet. The bottom panel is faceted, like the surface of a gem, and is also perforated for cooling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have tried stacking two WD's and while in use transferring data they tend to heat up pretty much so I separated them..Stacking will not effect the quality of the transfer or load, but the heat is the enemy of any electronic device....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, These drives are stack-able. Each drive does have very tiny triangular rubber feet that can fall off and get lost if the drive is being moved a lot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This unit will stack flat.. The bottom is a bit irregular to allow for venting but the 4 contact points or feet allows it to sit level for stacking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The surface is definitely flat and the vents are on what would be the bottom if you set it horizontally. The bottom, however, is raised by 4 clever triangular welds that raises the unit so the vents can do their job. I purchased two but am not using both at the present time so I can't answer your question as to stacking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, you can probably stack them, but I don't think I would. They do lie flat, and the bottom is shaped so that the corners are a little thicker than the middle. There are vents on the bottom. But it does lie flat. I wouldn't stack them because the top gets a little warm. Since the vents are on the bottom, I would be afraid that the one on top would overheat the one on the bottom if you stacked them. But, of course, I haven't tested this, so it might work fine. Personally, I would not try it.
