• Nope, spinning disk. If this was an SSD it wouldn't be so big and cheap.

• This is not a solid state hard drive it's a spinning disk hard drive it makes a little humming noise and has a slight vibration. Solid state hard drives are more expensive and they are totally silent because there's no moving parts.
