Yes. It will work with Time Machine! You will just need to take the very easy step of formatting it with the OSX Drive Utility. That is the only difference between the Mac Version & This version. Buy the Mac one and you're essentially paying someone at Seagate $10-50 to format the same exact drive. If the price difference is worth it for you for peace of mind or stress avoidance I say pay it and not worry about it. Hope this helps.
