• No it won't. It will get rid of anything you put on there. Not the stuff f4om the factory.

• You dont need any of that stuff that comes preloaded. In fact, i always delete it, because its not necessary for it to work properly. Unless you want to utilize the security feature. Nonetheless, you could always download that from Seagates website. Great external drive. Seagate is the best
