• Works just like a flash drive. Plug in, auto mounts and appears in finder. Must eject before unplugging USB. Have one and it performs great with audio/video file played from drive or during edits

• Yes, the external hard drive will allow you to store up to 1TB of data onto it from your Mac PC.

• Neither really. Its simply a backup external hard drive that can be attached to the Mac's USB port. Use Disk Utility to erase and reformat for Mac.
