Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't say if it's ideal... but I can say that it will work (if your laptop has a USB-C port) because this is just a traditional external hard drive that functions just like any other external hard drive.

The load time to the drive is kind of slow I loaded just over a 1TB of data to the drive, the transfer took about 30-40 minutes. I like the drive and it's works great for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.mine transfers very fast, I run my Time Machine backup (macOS) AND my iTunes library off mine. I can run my HD videos from iTunes off it with zero latency issues. Also having an SD card slot built in, it handles when you have something extra on external sources to pop it in and have it available quickly.
