• It is compatible, but currently you'll need to open the enclosure and then install the drive internally. An upcoming update will allow external usage though.

• I got my son the 4tb version and is enjoying it without a hitch. As long as you save all games on the hard drive instead of on the ps4 itself. I did it with my Xbox one S as well.

• If your wanting to upgrade your PS4 storage you will need to take it out of the casing (this will void warranty) and use it to replace your internal hard drive in your PS4. Do plenty of research and find some videos first. But this is a great way to get a 2TB hard drive cheap.
