So idk if you can do it with the Xbox, but this is a Christmas present for my son that he picked out to do the same thing, but with the new PlayStation. He hasn’t used it yet since it’s to be an Xmas present, but he did tell me that this is the exact same device as the ones being marketed with the Xbox and PlayStation labels, just cheaper because there’s no logo on it. To my understanding, the ones with the logos are being sold to do what you are wanting to do, so no reason why this wouldn’t do what the logo ones do. Sorry...wish I could be more help.
