• You have to format it once prior to using the first time. The PS4 will walk you through it. It takes less than 5 minutes

• This is for use with your PS4 to extend and free up storage on your device. The PS4 will automatically format it for the PS4 to use It is easy to move storage if you want to free up main drive Not sure if a PC can read the PS4 files
