“Will this external hard drive work with a Playstation 3? I'm looking to expand my hard drive on my Playstation 3 and an external one seemed easier than replacing the internal hard drive. Any information is appreciated.”

Yes, it should. You may need to format it to a different file system type with your computer but I could be wrong.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not 100% sure, but I would say yes you can. You would just plug it in the PS3 and give it a minute to do its thing and then you would go to settings > storage > format for external drive. The first one I bought I had to return bc it didn’t work properly. It couldn’t detect the hard drive. So when I got the replacement one I let it sit there for a couple minutes to make sure it detected it before I moved on to the formatting.
