• Well my system automatically recognized it when I plugged it in but if you just go to storage in the system settings you should see it there as extended storage and then click on that and it will ask you if you want to set it up as extended storage you click yes and that should be it. That's how I set mine up

• When I got my game drive I plugged it into my USB port and my system automatically recognized it as an external hard drive and then I just went into system settings and set it up as a external hard drive.

• You have to go to settings - storage on PS4 and then click external drive and open it. If it still does not respond please take the receipt and device and box back to Best Buy, possibly with your PS4, and seek guidance or exchange.
