• A:Answer No games that are actually made only for the new xbox series X/S will work off the external hard drive you will have to get the expansion card to do that. But you can play any older generation xbox games from the external hard drive.

I haven’t noted that there is any correlation between the message when you download a game stating ‘this game requires faster speeds and needs to be on the internal HD.’ It seems to be “random” which games play from here and which don’t
