• Is your Dell Inspiron 14, a 3000, 5000 or 7000 model? What is the model number for your Dell Inspiron? You can use "System Information" in Windows to determine your model number. Once you know your model number, then you do a search on the Internet for the "Product Specification". You want to check if your system has a SATA interface. If your system has a SATA interface then you can install the Internal HDD (2.5"). SSD is much faster than HDD. SSD is better to install. SSD is the newer technology.

• It takes the place of a standard 2.5 inch mechanical drive. The interface has to be SATA.
