Vic; Since you have a Dell Inspiron 3520, which is a laptop, make sure you get the Seagate 500 GB laptop hard drive. They have a desktop model and a laptop model. It should work fine with your Dell system. No disks? Your other choice is to contact Dell to see if you can get the Windows 8 original discs. They may be available, with your serial number, for ordering. Best of luck.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your 3520 originally came with a hard drive it will work fine; however many 3520 Inspiron laptops are "cloud books" that are designed to save data online, not to the laptop. They do not come with a hard drive, nor have a place to install one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would get a SATA to USB adapter and one of any number of drive clone utility apps that is on the Web. I think this Drive comes with a serial key to download one. Use the Sata to USB adapter to connect and format your new SSD, and use the app to clone your old drive's files and OS to the new drive. Swap your old Hard drive with the new SSD and boot up.
