YES, I used this item on the airplane and watched movies using the wireless mode from the HD to my iPad and my associates Chrome Pixel. GREAT asset for the $$. As for storing APPS, YES there also. I have over 500 apps stored on this device, when I need them, I wire up and click. Hope this info is helpful to you.

There is an app for both the iPad/ and the other devices... depending how you down load your movies, either through iTunes own your own DVD's you will need a third party DVD rip software/ best thing to do is research it on youtube
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used the hard drive to store my music and movies. I connect my tablet via wireless and have not had a problem viewing videos at all. I have not tried to save any apps to the drive.

Please try again later.If you can find video player with proper codecs to play your videos will work for travel....mx player seems to be best out right now but still lacking....battery seems chincy though I give it 2 movies tops before recharge....wont store apps you need blustacks on pc for that....
