• Definitely good for a 13 year old. I bought 3 for my nephews and niece and they were TOO small to use them! LOL The name is misleading. Should be called the Teenager Scooter

• My grandson is 13 and enjoys this. Note that there is a weight limit, I think it's 120 pounds max, so that should be part of your decision. The app allows you to change the maximum speed down from the 12 MPH, so you can lower it based on the driver's capabilities.

• Depends on how big your child is. I bought these for my 7&8 year old and they are 50-60 lbs
