Can you ride down to the beach? Will sand harm it? null

I wouldn't ride in the sand. A walkway, or bike path yes, but not sand

Needs a hard surface, once it's unlocked it takes me across part of my lawn between the paved walkways, with grass real short and hard compacted dirt underneath.
