Decent beginner E-scooter
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never had one of these before and I have to say it’s pretty fun to ride. 15MPH felt pretty fast the first time. You can ride this out of the box, without the app but you need the app in order to enable cruise control, set the speed to MPH (not KPH), unlock different riding modes, and unlock the full speed. Once you set it up you can use this scooter with full functionality without logging into the app every time. Out of the box it was as capped at 9MPH (shown as 15KPH). It handles hills poorly but I expected as much from reading reviews. It can actually handle some inclines but expect the speed to drop. At one point I was going 7MPH top speed up a hill. The weight is only around 30 lbs so it's fairly easy to carry around. I store mine in my apartment and also put it in the back of my SUV. The weight is less of a hassle to me than it just being a bit awkward to carry up the stairs since the handlebars stick out. The display is pretty simple and nice. It has a digital speedometer, headlight icon similar to a car, and 5 bars representing the battery level. If you want a more exact percentage your can use the app. The app also has an odometer and tracks number of miles ridden in a day. It does have to be stay logged in in order to track accurately (eg. I open the app before going on a ride and leave it open), Your screen can be off just don't close the app. Obviously if you don't care about tracking miles you don't need to use the app at all. Or you can just open it whenever you want to check the battery percentage more accurately. There's 3 modes: Sport (S), Standard (D), and Eco. I usually keep it on Standard but I haven't noticed a significant different between all 3 besides Eco caps you at 9.3 MPH. The biggest con for me is the range. It’s advertised as 18 Miles but expect 10-12. I road for 10 miles yesterday with only 19% battery left. I’m guessing this is very weight dependent and lighter people can go further. I’m about 160lbs for comparison. Overall I give this 4 stars because its decent for the price (I payed $420) and fun to ride for a beginner. 10-12 miles isn’t as good as I was hoping but it’s still enough for me to get around my city and explore trails.

Needs waaay better anti theft / GPS type tracking
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this scooter but it is easily stolen. This was the second one I purchased. The first one, exact same model, actually was stolen. It was locked up with a chain lock that was sort of huge on University of Cincinnati’s campus & the scooter was registered to her in the app, etc. but the thieves were able to steal it & apparently just use it without the tracking devices indicating where it was taken to. The chain and lock used to secure it were not flimsy either. It was a heavy duty chain. There needs to be much better anti theft features on something that you spend $650 on. I wish it had some kind of internal gps tracking that couldn’t be shut off by thieves or maybe it something that would prevent it from even powering up at all unless it it was paired with the app or a passcode entered- something?? What if when it did get powered up, you could see its location regardless? That would even be helpful. I don’t know- something more than what it has. Campus police said the scooters over $200ish are stolen constantly & people shouldn’t bother to buy them unless you’re able to lug the thing into class with you. This unit weighs 35 pounds & my daughter didn’t want to throw it on her back constantly. I used a dremel tool & etched her name & phone number on the bottom of it but I’m sure we’ll never see it again. So, the actual scooter itself is great. Buy it if you’re able to use it & NOT have to lock it up anywhere unattended because it will get stolen. Hers was taken while she was in a 50 minute class so it was just that fast. The exact model I purchased (both times) is the Segway - F30 Electric Kick Scooter w/ 18.6 Max Operating Range & 15.5mph Max Speed - Gray, Model: AA.00.0010.84, SKU: 6489376

Segway ninebot f30 electric scooter
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this scooter to replace one that my son had outgrown from another brand, and this was a major upgrade in more ways than one. The scooter is solidly built, and has inflatable tires that provide a quiet, smooth ride, and a hand operated disc brake that provides great stopping power. The bright headlight and taillight makes me confident that my son can safely ride around the neighborhood in the waning hours of the day. Being able to break the handle down and lock it into a carrying handle is an added bonus. It easily reaches a speed of 15.5 mph with my 170 lb. It loses a little power going uphill, but on level ground it's capable of reaching speed immediately, and easy to control. It holds a charge for a long time, and reaches a full charge and no time at all. I knew Segway made a quality product, but the instant I pulled it out of the box it was confirmed. Great product, and Best Buy did a great job shipping me one the same day from a store on the other side of town than the one I currently use. 100% satisfied.

F30 not worth it. G30 the best
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.0 stars for F30, 5 stars for G30max. Bought F30, after setting up everything, it didn't want to start. After contacting Best Buy, they suggested to take it back to the store and to get another one. The same thing happened with the second one, it didn't start. Than I took it back again to tje store and decided to get a G30max, and it happened to be a good decision. Bigger scooter with bigger battery. Fast enough, not very heavy to me, seems solid built. I go to work everyday using my scooter, I am happy with that.

Worth it. 100% recommended
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing scooter compared to the price, I’ve used it for almost a year and haven’t had any issue, rides smoothly and battery last a lot. I recommend to be careful with speed because it can be up to 22 miles, brakes work well. I fall down due the speed but good brakes helped me to stop before an accident

Gets my son around town…
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this scooter for my 17 year old son for a Christmas present and he absolutely loves it. He’s happy that he gets around town faster than when he was on foot or taking public transportation. He hasn’t complained about the scooter at all. The speed is perfect for someone his age. The speed also keeps me from worrying about him riding it through the city streets. I did not eat my son riding something that goes over 30mph through the city with drivers that are always distracted. Overall a good purchase.

Q: QuestionWhat is 18.6 MAX range? How far does it go?
Asked by G.
- A:Answer Sadly, it will never do this range. This to me is an absolute PR lie, that all the makers do tho. They will tell you that - you have to be certain weight, you have to go like half speed, on straight road - then MAYBE you get 18miles range. This detail is buried in little text somewhere nowhere. But they BOOST the 18 mile range right in the name of the product. You get 10 miles max.

Q: QuestionIs the battery easly removal? My bus to NYC won't allow scooters for travel without the removing the battery.
Asked by Plaz26.
- A:Answer I don't believe so...i think the battery is located inside the deck of the scooter
Answered by Anonymous
Q: QuestionDoes it come with solid tires?
Asked by Mermaid.
- A:Answer Nope. It has pneumatic (air filled) tires. You get 2 that are attached to the scooter and a spare one incase either one fails.

Q: QuestionI have no cell service at my house. Do I need cell service to operate this?
Asked by fuzzy.
- A:Answer No! But, You DO need a cell phone with bluetooth to Activate the scooter! You need to download an app to activate/unlock the scooter. And then you don't have to use the app after that. The bike will work and u can change functions, check the battery life, speed, and distance all by just using the interface built into the scooter.

Q: QuestionCan you ride this in the rain?
Asked by PNWlove.
- A:Answer We recommend you keeping the unit as dry as possible. Riding in a downpour or through puddles will void the warranty. A light shower or moisture on the road will be fine. Please consider drying the unit off afterwards and store out of the rain.

Q: QuestionWhat is the best way to maintain the battery? Leave it plugged in or just mostly charged? Thanks!
Asked by Tom.
- A:Answer I'd say the best way would be to charge it overnight on a mostly dead charge. Batteries tend to lose charge when it's being overcharged or charged when it doesn't need it. Good example would be about 35-15% is a good time to charge it. Otherwise just have it turned off until you're ready to ride. Now it does say in the owner manual to charge it once a month if you do not use it for extended periods of time. I hope this was beneficial for you.

Q: QuestionDoes this scooter Lock when not in use?
Asked by FryGuy.
- A:Answer There is a Bluetooth lock that only works when the scooter is turned on and your phone is within a certain radius. I'd recommend getting a standard bike lock to lock it in place.
