This unit is not wired to the wall. The faceplate is attached to the wall with adhesive or scews. This device also requires a hub. In order to get a three way funtionality, you will have to make either your existing wall switch or your bulbs "smart." If you can get either connected to a hub, then you will be able to control them with multiple devices as you would like.
