This overall was good..., but something with remote control, you'll get a hit or miss. I returned one because it seemed like it was used and the button didn't really click like it was suppose to. Got a new one, im happy and recommend. Don't forget you need a HUB!! Don't make that mistake! We bought a amazon echo for this.

I bought this to control some sengled bulbs in a room that I did not want a google nest mini in, and it works perfectly. In the sengled home app you can assign the switch to specific rooms or bulbs and each button can be programmed for single press, double press, and long press to perform various commands. I love it, and I also love that it attaches to the wallplate via a magnet. The wallplate is very convenient and it can attach with screws or the included double sided adhesive strips. Very happy that it included all the hardware I needed right out of the box and the battery for the remote switch. Will continue to be a satisfied customer of Sengled after this purchase. Only reason it isn't five stars is it does not have a reset button for individual bulbs like the Phillips hue remote does. But I have never needed to use that feature to date, as if I need to reset a bulb it's fairly simple through the sengled home app, although I would love to see that in a future revision of this switch.

    Game changer to avoid electrocution!

Scenario: Your living room has no overhead lighting and none of the outlets are wired on a single circuit or to a common switch. What do you do? Well, in the past you could call an electrician, risk re-wiring things yourself, or you could accept that you'll need to manually turn on/off lights around the room as the needs/daylight change. OR... you get one of these and pair it with a Sengled hub and bulbs, and now you can control all the lights around the room with a single tap of the switch! Plus, you can dim the lights, and you can set up custom scenes based on single-tap, double-taps, or long-holds of the on/off buttons. Seriously, this switch is outstanding and the whole Sengled ecosystem integrates super smoothly with Alexa! So, whether you're trying to resolve a poorly-thought-out wiring situation in your home, or you just love home-automation stuff, this switch is an awesome addition (assuming you already have or will be purchasing a Sengled hub and some bulbs to go with it). Highly recommended!

This switch does everything I wanted it to do, and even more than I expected. My only complaint is that it is removable from the wall plate. That is ok, but it is easy to bump and knock off. It is held in place by a magnet and a slot. The magnet is not quite strong enough. However, I would purchase again. The price and function easily overcome this minor issue.

    Philips remote is superior

I purchased Sengled to get the 100w bulbs (that Philips didn't offer at the time), but have found the responsiveness of the Sengled remote to be sluggish compared to the Philips system. Oftentimes I have to press the On or Off multiple times, or hold it down to get the lights to respond (in the same room). Philips remotes are a simple tap and instant response. I also find the remote shape to be annoying when mounted to the wall. The back of the switch is rounded, so if you push left/right of center, then it is fairly easy to push the remote right off the wall plate. The Philips remote is square on the back is remains seated in the wall plate. The only advantage of the rounded back is that it is slightly more comfortable to hold in your hand... but I keep these on the wall 99.9% of the time, all I realize is the annoyance of the remote falling to the floor a couple times a week.

    Good, but could be better

The switch is good and does what it's supposed to. However, it could be better. The design has a few flaws in my opinion. First, there's an option to mount the switch baseplate magnetically. This is great especially if you don't want to put holes in the wall, etc. However, it's a single magnet located in the direct center of the unit. Therefore if you go this route, the unit tends to "spin" and/or be lopsided. Change the design to incorporate 2 magnets (1 top, 1 bottom) I think would fix this. Second, the switch itself is able to detach from the base again via magnetically. Another great & convenient thing especially if you want to use it remotely while sitting on the couch, at your desk, etc. Saves a trip from having to get up to make any lighting adjustments. The negative on this is back when you mount it again. The magnet just doesn't feel strong enough to feel like it's secured back in. I feel like 1 drop from a normal light switch height could crack the plastic. Also, when you go to pull it off/put it back on, if you've secured the baseplate using the magnet, you will most undoubtedly knock it off its magnet or again make it uneven/lopsided. Lastly, I personally could do without the middle 2 buttons being dimmer switches. The response to dim/brighten is a bit lagging. I would prefer they incorporated a "slide" switch that could fine tune the brightness like you would do in their app. I would also then switch these buttons to a saved setting, like make #1 be "daylight" and #2 "mood" light so you could quickly switch lighting tones/colors. Would I buy this switch again? Yes. Why? Well, because it's the only one that exists right now and saves me from having to pull out my phone and/or tell Alexa/Google to do what I want it to do. Hopefully they'll come up with an updated version that takes some of the above into account. Also, the price wasn't too bad at my time of purchase - $15 before taxes.

Overall this light switch does it's job. It's a little bit of a pain to get up and running, but works fairly well. I dropped off one star because I have this just set for my bedroom lights and even though it is set only for the bedroom, it gets confused and will turn off/on my other Sengled lights. If the programming were a little better and this worked 100% as it should instead of 98%, I would give it 5 stars.

I thought this would be an alternative to buying separate bulbs for my bathroom light fixture.I thought it would work with my Google home and I could just tell it to turn the bathroom lights on and off. It does not work like that. I ended up returning it. However the instructions were simple. Had it worked I probably would have kept it. However in light of today's technology it seems rather out of date.

This was great, until I lost it. Think about this for a moment. How many times have you lost your keys? Your wallet? Now, how many times have you ever lost a light switch? Never before I would imagine. Now's your chance! Get ready to add your light switch to the long list of things that you will find under the couch cushions or inside of your dog.

The switch works and allows me to control 8 different lights from the single switch. I have both this version and the hue version for some hue lights. The two biggest issues with the Sengled are it's slow to dim the lights taking about .5 second from when you click it to the lights dimming. The other issue that's more annoying is it doesn't stay attached to the plate and constantly falls off. Overall it's a decent switch and I like the features it has, just wish those two issues could be fixed.

This addition from Sengled works exactly as advertised with my Sengled bulbs. The ease of setup was similar to any of the bulbs and you will fly right through it with the app. Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for in those instances where I would rather activate/deactivate my bulbs without the use of my voice. If you`re looking for a wired switch to replace your current switch this obviously isn`t it, but as a companion for your current Sengled bulbs, this works great.

I was I excited to see this in the shelf at Best Buy! I thought it would be an excellent addition to my Smartthings smart home setup. While the device paired without it issue, it didn’t pair as a controllable button but instead paired as an on/off device. I reached out to Sengled for help and so far haven’t received a suggestion. I hope someone creates a device handler so the thing will work!

It's an extremely average device. It seems to work well enough, but it feels pretty poor. The glossy plastic is covered in weird marks out of the box and you can barely tell if you've clicked the buttons. If you're desperate it'll do the job, but I'd recommend looking at some other brands if you can afford to spend a few more dollars.
