“can the range be increased from the 33 feet listed in in the specs? my old Sennheiser wireless could be used at more than 300 feet...it was great and assumed that new should be similar...anyway of facilitating the newer ones to be able to approach that?”

Wireless haedphones have a long range and used cordless phone frequencies. These are Bluetooth with a standard of 33 feet. Also Bluetooth has much better sound quality.
