“How pliable is the cord, does it stretch easily. i was wondering if they are comfortable when the cord is stretched out.”

The cord is a big plus and was a factor in me choosing the 280's. It is very pliable it will stretch to 8-10 before it starts pulling the phones out of place on my head. Also, if you think you'd like to try a retractable cord or just get a straight one, do it, its replaceable. I have nearly $2000.00 in perfectly good head phones that were rendered useless because of a break or split in that impossible to fix wire or cord.
