You can use the right earbud without the left but not vice versa. This is because the left earbud is slaved to the right, meaning that it won’t work unless the right bud is active.

Please try again later.Yes, it does work with just one of the buds in your ear, but only if you select it as one of the options in the app. You can choose whether or not music pauses after the buds are removed. The right side bud is the master, so if you pull that one out music will stop no matter what you select in the app, but the left bud can be removed and music will continue to play (if you set the option on the app). And the settings are retained in the buds (not in the app), so even when you connect with another device it will retain settings and behave according to your settings.

The Transparent Audio function with single right ear use is very efficient for a combination of listening, calling, but also talking to people without taking it off.

I work in an office too so I just have them both in and take one out if someone needs to talk and boom, auto-pause.
