No, no coop in this game, local or otherwise.

The game itself is single-player. But the co-op will most likely be comparable to Rise of the Tomb Raider's Endurance co-op mode, where you play with a friend to survive and explore the jungle until you can be rescued. That was strictly online co-op though, as I suspect this will be too.

This will almost certainly be a single-player experience. At least in story mode. There may be a multiplayer mode which focuses on player-versus-player. You can look up Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider as reference points for this installment.
