One of the unique features of ShadowTrack is that you can control how often the location updates. In the app, you can select update intervals of 5, 30, or 60 seconds. Using a slightly slower update rate helps conserve battery while still keeping location tracking accurate.
With typical driving usage of around 2 hours per day and a balanced update setting, the battery generally lasts between 10 and 14 days on a single charge.
The ShadowGPS app also makes battery management easy by showing the current battery level, tracking battery usage history, and allowing you to set low-battery alerts so you’re notified when the battery drops below a level you choose.
