In the app, you can select update intervals of 5, 30, or 60 seconds. Using a slightly slower update rate helps conserve battery while still keeping location tracking accurate. With typical driving usage of around 2 hours per day and a balanced update setting, the battery generally lasts between 10 and 14 days on a single charge. The ShadowGPS app also makes battery management easy by showing the current battery level, tracking battery usage history, and allowing you to set low-battery alerts so you’re notified when the battery drops below a level you choose.
