“How long can I keep the unit running? Should I turn it off after a few hours and start again the next day?? If I ran it continuously, I’m Assuming I would be replacing the filter pretty frequently?”

We run it 24 hrs/day. I believe it's meant to be operated that way and if I remember correctly in the welcome video it said the filter will last 6-8 months. Of course everyone's timeframe will vary...
