• It will still vacuum almost everything, the brissels spin slower in hardwood mode and grabs more dust.

You must use the appropriate setting depending on the floor you'll use it to, to prevent any floor damages. We also recommend contacting the manufacturer of the flooring to verify compatibility.

• Nothing should happen... I have hardwoods and it doesn't scratch them. That said, you shouldn't need to use those settings as the red roller will pick up most everything and dust the floor!
