A. It could be your pets hair or your hair on the roller brush head.and as you keep vacuuming most people's arms start 2 get a little sore so you push a little harder and pull back a little harder and this kinda puts a little stress on the little motor thus giving off several kinds of hot smelly oders. If you turn your unit upsidedown you will always find some kinda hair also carpet trimmings and stongu things be sure to cut them off. I myself use needlenose pliers.
