Thanks to all who responded. I ended up calling Shark. They said it should NOT be left on the charger as it is a Ni-Cad battery and it will affect the life span. Following her suggestion, I ran the battery down, put it on the charger and timed how long it took to reach full charge. I bought a cheap indoor timer and set it to turn on for that amount of hours. That way I don't have to keep checking to see if it's charged and unplug it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I never gave it much thought. I have recently purchased this unit and have always left it hooked up to the charger. When I first set it on the charger the green light turns on, after it is charged the light turns off. This is my second unit as.i had an older model prior to this one. I hope this helps you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Found this response on the support pages of www.sharkclean.com (shark-cordless-pet-perfect-ii-handvac/product-care/#faq-87) > For how long should I charge my hand vacuum? > Charge the hand vacuum for 24 hours before the initial use. Discharge fully after first use, then recharge for 16 hours. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CHARGER AFTER THE 16-HR CHARGE TIME HAS COMPLETED. Fully discharge the unit at least once a month. Do not store the unit in the charge stand with the charger plugged in. Do not store the unit in areas of high temperature or humidity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can. In the owners manual it specifies that you can leave the vacuum on its chargr at all times until needed. I leave mine on the charger at all times and my vac operates fine. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have left mine on the charging base and I have had no problems with it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes as far as I can tell you can. My wife and I leave ours on the charging base all the time and so far no issues have popped up. So far we like this version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had two of them. I left one on the charger and the battery expired and was too expensive to replace so I dumped it. The other one still works but I make sure the power is switched off to the cradle it rests in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The green charging light comes on when I first return it to the charging station but does eventually go out. I assume it stops charging when full. I've kept it on the charging base hanging on the wall since new and haven't had any issues so far but it is only a month old.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
