Will it have to much suction for throw rugs? null

Yes it does and I love this fact as it cleans the dogs hairs from it well. I hold the rug with me feet while I run the vacuum over, very easy and that way I prevent the rug from becoming entangled. I use it on thin or thick rugs. Be extra careful on rugs that have ornaments.

I found on my 6x9 runner it was awesome. I spilled potter soil and it sucked it right up and it didn't lift the the runner up like really good valcumes do.

We would like to inform you that this unit works great on most carpets, and rugs however, it may struggle with some high/plush pile carpets or rugs. We recommend contacting the manufacturer of the flooring to verify compatibility.
