“We have rugs with a shaggy carpet style, we have struggled in the past to find a stick vacuum that will function on rugs like ours. Does this vacuum work well on thicker/shaggy carpet?”

Yes, I also have shaggy rugs that I vacuum with no problems with this vacuum
