“Do any of the Shark duoclean vacuums have the ability to run with only the foam roller only on hardwood flooring and turn off the brush roller, worried about scratching of hardwood. Also have concerns with plastic from vacuum wo wheels scratching floors.”

Yes, powered lift away speed. It's the duo clean, it's awesome, and I clean up after a huge tribe of people please and animals, lots of for. Hardwood downstairs, carpet upstairs, even has a setting for throw rugs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The wheels are large and have rubber molded onto the wheel surfaces to cut down on the possibility of scratching the floor. Both brushroll are fully removable. The standard brushroll can be removed easy via the "garage door" access panel on the base of the machine. Thanks to the location and ease of acess this can be done quickly even when switching between cleaning rugs and hardwood.
