• Hello TNfan, We would like you to know that the brushrolls on the Shark® DuoClean® Powered Lift-Away Speed™ cannot be disabled. With this being said, You can put the vacuum in lift-away mode, and then connect one of the attachments, like the Pet Multi-Tool, to the end of the wand. We hope this information helps. • Yes. The brush can be easily removed from the vacuum. I have not run the vacuum without the brush, but have removed the brush for cleaning. You can also remove the soft roller at the front of the vacuum. I really like this Shark.
