A:AnswerI ended up starting the vac upstairs, from the base, then moving the base and vac downstairs and running it again. Both times it returned to the base just fine. Second time I ran it upstairs and kept the base upstairs and then ran it downstairs, no base. I just set it on the floor against the wall and let it go. Worked great. So, it'll work either way. Absolutely looove it!
A:AnswerDefinitely NOT. I asked customer service this question after noticing on the app itself there wasn't even mapping on it. So long story short, not this model. This model cleans then if you go into History, you can select the date you want to see and it will show you the map of what it cleaned on that particular run. But there isn't anyway to pick a room for it to go. Of course it doesn't say anything about not having this function which is very frustrating. I would have picked a different model had I known.
It does a great job cleaning though!
A:AnswerYes it will not fall down stairs. There are a couple warnings in the manual about not having carpet runners at the top of wood stairs and such where apparently the robot can get confused and risk falling. But I have not had a problem, it cleans up the the edge of steps on hard surfaces and does not risk falling.
A:Answerself cleaning. However, if you have a dog or cat you will still need to open it up and pick out hair. And also need to blow or dust it out because of the hair as well
But it still does a fair job keeping the house cleaner.
A:AnswerWe would like to inform you that this robot can work without Wi-Fi. You would need to press the buttons located on the robot to get it to run, however you would not be able to use the app or any features of the unit that would require Wi-Fi. We recommend connecting it to Wi-Fi and pairing it with the Shark App to receive regular updates to the robot and the app. This will ensure that the robot is maintaining optimal performance. You will also be able to set up a cleaning schedule with the app.
A:AnswerWe have owned several off brand vacs of this type & compared to them, this is quieter. However, when I was looking to replace for something better, I purchased a Rhoomba & I was shocked at how loud it was considering they are the ones that are considered “the best” plus it didn’t do a great job. So we exchanged for this & it’s definitely quieter & better than that. The only thing I would consider a bit loud is the self-cleaning part at the end of the cycle where it empties the small bin on the unit into the larger bin on the dock. Hope this helps!
