The HydroVac is not ideal for carpeted stairs, as it’s designed mainly for hard floors and area rugs. For easier stair cleaning without kneeling, consider a lightweight stick vacuum or a canister vacuum with a long hose and stair tool.

With the flip of the switch, the hose is already connected and you can turn it on and off. I highly recommend it. I’ve had no complaints with it yet
