I was wondering if it came with a charging cord as well. I watched a video of this model and it showed you could plug a cord in OR use the docking station.

The Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum charges exclusively through the docking station and does not support direct charging via a power cord. The model without the docking station includes a power cord for direct charging, but this version relies on the dock for recharging.
