The PowerDetect system on this model automatically increases suction on carpets, which can make it feel like the vacuum is grabbing thinner rugs. While there isn’t a manual suction‑strength adjustment, switching the vacuum from Carpet mode to Hard Floor mode will reduce the suction and help prevent the vacuum from pulling the rug up.
