Crushes pet hair.... I have a Beagle that sheds 24/7 and my kids bring their two Beagles and two Huskies to visit with them. They usually stay over college breaks ( Yes I lose my mind with 5 dogs in the house ) After they leave I vacuum up three or four filters worth... It really is quite amazing that these dogs shed that much in a week....

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has great suction and will pick up pet hair easily. It works amazing on carpets and picks up dust from beneath the surface. The cord is about 25 feet. I'm not sure what you mean by self propelled but it does pull forward when you have the carpet mode on (the brush spins) it does not have height adjustments but in using it I find them unnecessary. It is also very quiet as far as my experience using various cheaper vacuums and a much more expensive vacuum goes.
