One of the greatest compact Vacuum from Shark!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark's Rotatory Lift Away vac is an awesome vacuum that continues to impress me no matter where I use it. I have used it in multiple places such as my home, to my garage, and to my car. All of which the unit worked flawless with no issues. I love holding this thing and taking it with me to get up dirt in places I normally can't reach. The packaging is bold and informative letting you know everything the vac can do and the way its packed was perfect. Once out the box you will notice the instructions and the small assembly which takes little to no time to put together. Next thing you will notice is the nice design of the vacuum, I swear some of these companies are starting to take clues from car companies with design because this vac is very "cool" looking with headlights and all. My problem here is I wish the headlights were brighter on the floor. Shark's new vac is also very lightweight and very simple to pick up which is essential for quick cleaning. And the handle is just easy to pick up and use. The pet tool works well with my bulldog hair that sheds all over the place and the anti-allergen keeps my air clean, none of this is fake it all just works as intended. I will say that this vac works well everywhere but this vacuum SHINES on hardwood floors the most. The "hard floor hero" as they call it have a over-reaching range that picks up dirt immediately. This blow away my Hoover and Bissell in a heartbeat, It's powerful suction pulls the dirt from far away. Not only that the way it hit the edges to pick up the dirt is what I wanted in a vac for so long. This is outstanding hardware from shark no less. I even took this with me when I got my car wash to avoid paying for the vacuums they have there. it easy to store away and use it where you want. I love it! There isn't much left to say, I know there is technology going on in this vacuum that beyond my understanding. But that's the beauty of these companies taking the extra steps to make sure you don't worry about that. The end result is a vacuum that's easy to use and works flawless. If you want reliability there is no question Shark is a company that delivers, if you looking for one of the best small and lightweight vacs this is surely the one to get without hesitation. I already recommend this vac to a friend who bought their very own for pets and they love it. Good job Shark!

Shark ATTACK!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WHATS OUTSIDE OF THE BOX? SHARK WINS 2-TO-1 VS. DYSON LIFT-AWAY Exclusive: Hard Floor Hero - Outstanding cleaning on bare floors and hard-to-reach places MORE SUCTION vs. Dyson's top-of-the-line lightweight upright small ball multi floor. CLEANER AIR Compared to Hoover, Bissell, Eureka (emits 10x less dust into the air) HEPA filters alone are not enough! If your vacuum is an unsealed HEPA vacuum, dust and allergens can escape around the filters and back into the air you breathe. COMPLETE SEALED HEPA SYSTEM Captures and holds over 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, NOT releasing them back into the air you breathe. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SMALL The Shark Rotator Lift-Away Speed is no ordinary compact vacuum. It's a high-performance powerhouse-easily transitioning from carpet and bare floor cleaning to Lift-Away mode for convenient stair and above-floor cleaning. INCLUDES: - Hard Floor Hero - Pet Multi-Tool - 12" Crevice Tool - 5 Year Limited Warranty WHATS INSIDE THE BOX? - Quick Start Guide - Instructions - Vacuum Pod - Motorized Floor Nozzle - Handle & Hose - Wand - Hard Floor Hero - Pet Multi-Tool - 12" Crevice Tool TESTING/SETUP: Alright, taking out all the components of the box was not hard/difficult at all. Assembling it was also really simple, especially with the easy to follow quick start guide. Some assembly is required (no tools needed though). After setting it up, I was ready to test it out on my carpet. Unfortunately, I don't have hard wood floors to test out the Hero but I used it in my kitchen (which obviously isn't carpet). I really like this vacuum cleaner. My carpet made those nice deep vacuumed marks where the vacuum ran across. Compared to my older dirt devil, this Shark blows it out of the water. While testing it in my kitchen, it picked up any crumbs and food pieces with ease. You can adjust the suction power at anytime and you can also click some buttons located on top of the vacuum pod and you can do the Lift-Away. This is extremely convenient for people that have stairs or want to be a bit more mobile as opposed to using a traditional vacuum cleaner. The things I like about it most is that it does a great job in cleaning, does not spread any dust in the air from what I've noticed, has lights in the front to show what you're about to pick up, and is functional to your liking (Lift-Away). Being that the unit itself is pretty flat on the actual vacuuming end, you can get those hard to reach places with ease. Personally, I don't really have any complaints at this time to be honest. My wife tried it out and she said it was a bit heavy but of course, that's her personal opinion and preference. I personally don't feel like its that heavy. Also, its really easy to maneuver in my opinion. Cleaning it was a breeze as well. Emptying the tank can be done by a click of the button on the bottom. There's another button on top to release the top cap of the tank to clean as well. You have filters once you remove the tank and that can be easily cleaned as well. You can even pop the vacuuming portion open to remove the brush-roll and clean out any hair easily with the click of 2 buttons. CONCLUSION: Go buy it. That's all I can say. Go to your local BestBuy and pick one up, you won't be disappointed. If you're buying it for someone that may feel like its a bit too heavy, then I would probably search for a different product. I felt like overall, the weight isn't TOO heavy but its definitely not TOO light. I like the weight of it. It does a fantastic job of cleaning up and it comes with all the accessories you need to do any cleaning in your home.

Light, feature and power packed Shark Rotator
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best vacuum we have ever used. Once out of the box you will notice the instructions and assembly took less than 10 mins. The design of this vacuum is excellent and light, easy to use, versatile. We liked three in one feature of this vacuum and you can go from carpet to laminate floors with a push of a button. I have used it in multiple places in my home and it worked flawlessly with no issues. The powerful suction pulls the dirt from far places. The canister is transparent and it will reveal how fast it fills. It empties without any need to contact the dust. The simple design of the attachments and detachable hose makes them useful. With low profile attachments, it becomes relatively easy to reach under the sofas and tables. The noise level is very minimal. Filtering is accomplished by washable foam filters and a final HEPA filter. The brush bar is located in a convenient position and easy to access by pressing two buttons and lifting a cover. Once the brush bar is lifted out, it is very easy to clean the hair or strings with scissors. This Upright vacuum for carpets and bare floors will complete your vacuuming quickly with versatile cleaning options and attachments for above-floor cleaning. It has rotating head enables easy maneuvering Steer smoothly around tight corners and furniture with swivel control. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology uses HEPA and foam filters to capture 99.99% of dust and allergens. LED headlights help you find hidden dust and dirt. Fingertip controls make operation simple, so there's no need to pause between surfaces. Dust-Away attachment features a microfiber pad to pick up fine dust and debris. Duster crevice tool allows you vacuum above the floor. Pet multi-tool removes ground-in dirt from stairs and carpets, as well as pet hair from upholstery. Inside the box Quick Start Guide Instructions Vacuum Pod Motorized Floor Nozzle Handle & Hose Wand Hard Floor Hero Pet Multi-Tool 12" Crevice Tool I will say that this vacuum works very well everywhere in any type of floors.

A nice combination of value and performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark Navigator NV601- Rotator Lift Away Speed Upright Vacuum. I need to defer to my wife on choosing a vacuum. No, no, it’s not about this being her job. It’s more about my tolerance for anything less than a tumbleweed on our floors or a visible layer of dust on my electronics. My wife simply sets a higher standard so she wins the right to select cleaning tools. My wife has a preference for canister vacs. She rarely takes more than a brief look at these typically heavy uprights, and concludes she doesn’t want to wrestle with their awkward size and shape. This Shark Upright may have converted her. It is far lighter than she expected and easily maneuverable. My wife especially commented on the nice balance which makes it feel even lighter. And it’s versatile, as described later. Despite the comfortable weight, this is solidly built and everything fits well, with a solid connection “click’. The Shark is noticeably powerful, pulling dirt in from the sides even at a distance of inches. The canister is transparent, revealing how fast it fills. It empties without any need to contact the dust. If you use white gloves while you vac, they’ll stay white!! The simple design of the attachments and detachable hose makes them useful. The upright design is inherently limited when you want to vacuum under furniture. But in the reconfigured lift-away mode, along with the low profile attachments, it becomes relatively easy to reach "under".. The instruction book describes an available caddy if you want to use it in this mode extensively. I’d predict the caddy is especially useful for folks with a multilevel home. Noise level: In our average 40dB room, from a meter away, the vac raised the sound level to 70dB (typical noise in an automobile). Further away, of course, sound drops off. Filtering is accomplished by washable foam filters and a final HEPA filter. Included with Model NV601: Vacuum; motorized floor nozzle; hard floor nozzle tool (flexible head); pet multi-tool; 12” crevice tool; 25ft cord (wraps, not retracts). Features: Suction control; HEPA Filter; powered brush roll; washable filters; detachable canister, weighs 13.2 lbs.

Powerful Suction, Versatile, & Senior Friendly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an awesome cleaning machine for my carpets, hard floors, and above, including items up to and on my ceiling. Out of the box this baby is quick and easy to assemble. It just 'snaps' together. I was up and vacuuming in approximately ten minutes. There is a 'Quick Start Guide' and 'Instruction Manual' featuring illustrations and tips regarding the set-up and operation of this Shark Rotator Lift-Away Speed unit for reference. After using this complimentary Shark Rotator for a week in all-around-the-house kinds of cleaning tasks I believe it is a cleverly designed, versatile and compact canister disguised as an upright vacuum sweeper. As an upright sweeper it has LED lights on the front of the floor nozzle, which allows you to see floor debris and watch it disappear before your very eyes. These lights are very helpful for seniors, like myself, in areas that are not well lighted. The 'ON/OFF' button on top of the canister slides forward for carpets and back for cleaning hard floors, which shuts off the brush roll. Anytime the vacuum is in the upright position the brush roll will also shut off. This is a nice feature, which prevents the motorized floor nozzle from damaging my carpet if it was just spinning in-place instead. The maneuverability of the floor nozzle is striking and the swivel steering is amazing. Although the floor nozzle is not self-propelled, it effortlessly glided over my carpets as I swept over them because of the large-sized, 3” wheels, in the back of the motorized unit. Combined with the lightweight of the entire unit, swivel, and its easy gliding – this Shark is very senior friendly. When I first vacuumed the carpeting in my house I had to empty the dust cup three times. I was thinking that maybe the dust cup is a little too small. However, after the fourth sweeping the dust cup only filled up once. A good sign that I am finally getting my carpets clean. The powerful suction of this Shark has really pulled debris from the bottom of the carpet pile. WooHoo! Clicking a few release buttons I quickly converted this Shark from an upright to a canister for more versatile cleaning chores. In the 'upright', hard floor, cleaning position the Shark did a good cleaning job over my wider areas. However, for cleaning under appliances, furniture, and tight spaces I used the full wand and Hard Floor Hero attachment. It was much more effective, especially, cleaning around my baseboards. The Hard Floor Hero attachment snaps to a 180 degree position, which allows me to thoroughly clean right up to the area where the floor meets the baseboard. The wand is actually two-piece. I used the shorter piece made up of the handle and hose to clean some of the fabric on my furniture using the two-piece Pet Multi Tool, which separates into an upholstery attachment. Once again, I found the powerful suction really removes debris from the folds and creases embedded in the material. I have dining room chairs that full suction was too powerful for the fabric. But, on the handle of the wand there is a suction control, which allowed me to adjust it, accordingly. The above floor cleaning and dusting features is what I really love about this Shark. The lightweight vacuum hose extends without force to an 8' length. The handle and wand are approximately 3' long and coupled with the hose can give you up to 11' reach to clean items like A/C ceiling grilles, tops of furniture and shelving, and even ceiling fans. However, I found that I needed the Multi-Angle Dusting Brush, which I ordered on-line, for the ceiling fans and tops of furniture and shelving. When I get this attachment I will no longer have to use a ladder to dust and vacuum, it can all be done effectively from standing on the floor. A real safety feature for us seniors, who do not need to take risks of falling from step stools and ladders to do common house cleaning chores. YooHoo! A couple of other Shark features to note. The canister housing allows me to carry two on-board attachments of my choice; the electrical cord is 25' long with a polarized, two-prong plug; the see-through, motorized brush roll allows me to see what may be binding up the brush roll and the housing has two release buttons on the sides to open and access the brush roll if needed – no tools are needed for maintenance; both pre-motor filters are washable and so is the HEPA post-motor filter; the Shark Rotator includes a Crevice Tool, Pet Multi Tool, and Hard Floor Hero; The Shark Rotator Lift-Away Speed, NV601 has a manufacturer, 5 year limited warranty. I highly recommend this Shark Rotator for its impressive cleaning versatility and performance. It packs a lot of cleaning power and is a well-engineered, compact package. This unit would make a great gift for Housewarming, newlyweds, and to friends and relatives for whatever the occasion. I urge anyone, who is thinking of buying this particular unit for a senior, to order the Multi-Angle Dusting Brush. That attachment can make an impact on the safety of that senior by eliminating stools and ladders. I am looking forward to using mine when it arrives . . .

Great Value With Versatility and Great Suction.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been searching for the perfect vacuum cleaner for quite a while. Let me present you with some detail of our dwelling to help you understand my plight with finding the right vacuum. We own a 150 plus home which has four levels if you count the basement. Our floor coverings range from old linoleum (that is slated to get replace in our next renovation, the kitchen.), hardwood, ceramic tile, carpet (berber and pile) and cement. All of the three flights of stairs are carpeted. Our ceilings range from 8ft to 10 ft, depending on what floor you are cleaning, and almost all of our windows are dawned with 2 inch wide plantation like blinds. Okay, that sets the scene for what I have to clean on weekly basis. Let my add that we are renovating our Master Bedroom, so there was a constant flow of construction dust while we tested this Shark Rotator Lift Away Speed Upright Vacuum System. This unit was packaged well, and in more pieces then I figured it would be. But it was super easy to assemble, I didn't even crack the manual. One of the first things I notice in a vacuum is it's weight, I'm quite sure it's because the amount of steps I clean weekly, and our original vacuum of 10 years, without naming brands... with it's cyclonic suction and british accented creator weighed a ton, we will call the Beast. This unit weighs almost a third of the aforementioned Beast. It's base also has the swivel design making it easy to navigate a house full of furniture. I love the Lift Away feature, it makes doing the crevice work around the living space and stairways so easy, but I did notice while doing this crevice work that the cord seems a little short, I was repeatedly having to search for a closer source of power, now remember our use case, four levels including the basement. Even with the Beast's long cord, I still could not go with out switching power sources. I measured the difference, The Beast's power umbilical is 31 ft. versus the Shark's 25ft power umbilical, not a huge difference, but enough that I noticed...several times. I appreciate that it has onboard tool storage, the only thing, is that one tool will always feel left out. It only stores two at a time, for us the hardwood attachment is only needed on the first floor anyways, so it will just be left behind. The greatest Feature of this particular vacuum, is it's flexibility, all readily available to you as you are vacuuming. It also has sufficient suction for a unit that is so small and lightweight. A fifth star could have been rewarded, with a longer cord and a third tool storage spot.

Pretty good all around vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is pretty good for all around cleaning. I have shag, hardwood and high pile carpet in my place and this seems to work out pretty well in all situations. There are three attachments included with this which are the normal brush, crevice and hardwood floor attachment. All work pretty well however there's only room on the vacuum to store 2 of them which is kind of weird. On hardwood the vacuum does quite well. On the high pile and shag carpet it does so-so. I think the vacuum would work a little better on normal pile carpet but can't really comment on that. The hardwood attachment works fine however the normal vacuum head works just as fine. Vacuum is relatively light and maneuvers well. It almost has a Dyson ball maneuverability to it. The wheels have a rubber strip on them which makes them very quiet on hardwood floors. The quick release buttons on the vacuum make converting it to carry mode or releasing the wand very easy. Only real issue with this vacuum is the cord is a tad on the short side. I have a small place so it's not a huge issue however if you're going to use this in a house or some place larger then it might be an issue. Overall, really like the vacuum as it's pretty good on all surfaces, pretty quiet and provides good suction.

Terrific Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought my low end vacuum did a decent enough job of cleaning my floors. That was until I used this Shark. I have two small children so we tend to vacuum every other day. The suction power of the Shark was such that I found four times as much dirt/hair/crumbs/etc in the container after it's first use. This blew me away and made me feel awkward, knowing that my family had been sitting and playing on what we thought were clean floors for years. This model comes with all the common attachments you might need. I found the lift-away feature handy for doing our carpeted stairs. The shark also is very easy to push and pull around carpeted floors which makes vacuuming less of a workout. You can get cheaper vacuums, but it would be difficult to get better value as this Shark cleans better than any vacuum I have ever used.
