“I want to buy a counter-top microwave that is at least partially servicable. For example, I want to be able to change the light bulb. MY GE microwave was totally infuriating because when the bulb burnt out no one could change it.”

• Go with Whirlpool -- I called them. They have lots of parts in stock.

• Great question! The only consumer replaceable part is the lamp and lamp socket. Any other repairs that may be needed for the R1405 Sharp microwave will need to be done by a Sharp authorized service center. Please contact Sharp Electronics at 800-237-4277 for more information.
