We only use it for Netflix and the remote that comes is fine. Also works for Hulu, Amazon prime, anything that runs off wifi. Maybe wouldn't be ok if I used as reg TV but then I would have a cable box and then I would have gotten a cable remote. Only might need it if you used an antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No...its a navigation system to change channels (by pressing arrow up and arrow down) . Volume choice is on the side of the remote. The remote control was well throught out for the TV and features. Not an issue

Please try again later.Hello Max, to change channels, you can do any of the following: • Press the UP arrow to change to the next higher channel. • Press the DOWN arrow to change to the next lower channel. • Press the LEFT arrow to display the channel list, and then press the UP and DOWN arrows to move the highlight through the list one channel at a time. Or press REWIND and FAST FORWARD to move the highlight through the list one page at a time. When you’ve highlighted the channel you want to watch, press OK. (If you decide you don't want to change channels, press the RIGHT arrow or BACK button).
