Can you operate the tv without the remote null

The tv can be operated without the remote.

Not on the 32". It is possible that later or earlier editions, or even different sizes have something such as a power button. They're is 1 button on the entire TV if you check every square inch and it is a tiny rest button. So if you lose your remote, run out of batteries, or the remote stops working you cannot use the TV.
