QuestionWe recently had a power surge in my shop where my Sharp cd-bhs1050 was plugged in and now it will not turn on. Is there a main fuse that I can replace on the unit or did it get fried in some other non fixable manner?

QuestionHow do I remove a cassette which has gotten stuck in the stereo? The door will partially open but the cassette seems locked in. I have tried turning power off and on; unplugging unit and plugging back in, and changing to cd mode and back. Nothing works.

QuestionDoes the cassette player need to be manually flipped or will the player flip sides itself? Also, will the CD player only play shuffle?

- Answer I haven't opened it yet. However based on past experiences, you will have to manually flip the cassette. The cd plays in regular as well as shuffle.

QuestionWhat is the total width and depth of this system? It says 13.5 inches in depth but the same system without the subwoofer is only 8.5 inches in depth. The width of my shelf is 35 inches is the system going to fit?

- Answer Hello, the dimensions of the main unit are as follows: Width: 10-1/4" (260 mm) x Height: 13-8/16" (332 mm) x Depth: 13-8/16" (345 mm). The dimensions of the subwoofer are: Width: 9-1/16" (230 mm) x Height: 13-1/16" (332 mm) x Depth: 12-11/16" (322.5 mm). Based on the shelf space that you have, the system should be able to fit. You may speak with a professional installer to adjust the shelf if needs be.

- Answer Bought this a month ago after regularly checking online for stock status for over a month. Sometimes it shows "out of stock" or even "this item no longer available in new" but if you add it to Cart sometimes it shows you can check out. That's how I got mine.
