Sony - ICF-C1 Radio Alarm Clock - Black

This clock sets itself. There was a time change this morning and I was surprised that it updated on its own. This truly is a smart clock. While I am a bit partial to Sony I’d like to think my ability to be non-biased is a prevalent attribute I possess. It’s just that I haven’t experienced much negativity in relation to Sony products. Sony’s products have, to me, always been a testament to style, quality, and overall performance and durability. This clock requires a battery in order to keep presets in case of power outages and such. It does come with a power cord even though my husband and I could not find it listed in “what’s included” or even on the picture itself. It does state on the box that a battery is required (it is already equipped with one). The cube design is sleek and the LED display is bright but not (keep you awake at night) bright. The buttons to set the time, when/if needed are in the back and the arm buttons are on the top. To the right side at the top is an AM/FM band switch and a tuner wheel. The left side of the clock is a volume wheel. The button labels are not clearly manifest and I have to turn the light on or use a flashlight so I can read them. I’m sure as I get used to this clock the buttons will become second nature but until then it’s a little off putting. This, having been the only issue with this clock, I’m satisfied with it. It is worth the price and for what it does I couldn’t be more pleased.

My small desk radio finally gave out after 17 yrs. I got this radio praying it worked due to reception in my old building at work and it works perfect. It does not have an antenna that I need to tape to a wall for it to work and it tunes to more than one radio station lol… I love the little box shape and time display… It literally fits anywhere. I haven’t played it that loud yet since I do have it at work but I’m sure it’s loud because I have dial barely on and it’s pretty loud! Totally recommend this radio! Best $30 spent in a while and if it lasts 17 yrs even better.

I like the sleek look of this clock radio and bought for our bathroom, as my husband likes to listen to his favorite radio station while he's getting ready in the mornings. However, the station kept going in and out on him and the volume would go up and down as he got closer to it or backed away. He ended up using the app on his phone, so I moved it to my nightstand mostly for the clock. I do like the built in DST and it resets itself, even if you unplug and plug it back in or the electricity goes out. Needless to say, I kept it.

This is a decent alarm/radio clock, it plays the radio well, setting the alarm clock at first was a little tricky, but overall it is a decent clock.
