Questionjust bought a sharp tv a week ago and we're connected to a cable provider with a dvr box but we can't watch any of the shows that we recorded before.

- Answer The television itself should have nothing to do with the contents of the DVR. It is a video viewing device only in that capacity. Are you sure the older programs haven't reached their expiration dates? Many DVR's only store programs for so many days unless added to the archive.

QuestionI understand that the power indicator is red during standby mode (when TV is off). Is there a way to change this setting so that it goes off when the TV is off? Seems odd to have this light on (never has a monitor or tv with this setting).

- Answer I don't have cable. I just use a powered antena. I get about 30 channels. Works great but I mostly just watch bluerays on it.

- Answer That would depend on your computer. As stated by a previous answer, this unit does not have a PC port BUT any computer capable of connecting via HDMI should be able to connect. Many AMD and NVidia brand video cards now support HDMI output so computers containing one of those video systems should be ably to use any TV with HDMI inputs.

- Answer My son does not have a DVR. He just plugged the cable directly into the back of the TV and did a cable channel search and it found all the cable channels we have.
