“On startup, is there any way to start on DirecTv rather than the Roku Home screen? I.E, currently I need to use two remotes to watch TV - first the Roku (to turn it on and then choose "Satellite TV") and then the DirecTv remote (to change the channels).”

Yes and it's very easy to do. 1. With the TV on, press the Home button. 2. Press the arrow down button to select "Settings" and then press "OK". 3. Press the arrow down button to select "System" and then press "OK". 4. Press the arrow down button to select "Power" and then press "OK". 5. "Power on" should already be selected, press "OK". 6. Scroll up or down to select the default when the TV is turned on and then press "OK". A check mark will show your selection. 7. Turn the TV off and then back on. It should default to what you selected in step 6.
