While I don't own this, I have been looking at it for a while, and yes, one is an ARC HDMI. They're used with sound bars, or sound plates, like I have. Got three things plugged into the Sound plate, Cable, BlueRay, and Roku, and one HDMI goes to the ARC input, if you've got one. I don't on my current TV, and that just means I use an optical audio cable. It returns the sound back to the sound bar, or sound system. Basically, ARC allows for a two-way connection, say the Cable sends its signal through my sound plate, to the television, then ARC sends the sound back to the plate. It also has some trading data features on it. Honestly I think it is used when you just plug stuff right into the television, like a DVD player, in transferring the sound to be playing back to the device, because the way mine is set up, three of my devices go through the Sound device anyway, and I'm pretty sure that is when the audio is picked up to be played.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The manual says: HDMI 1/ARC: ... connect a home theater that supports ARC to this jack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The TV has a fiber optic output and a head phone jack. I used the fiber optic output as an input to my amplifier. My amplifier then sends the signals out to my speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Complicated question. You have two options for external sound: one which hooks up to the TV's headphone output, the other which hooks up to the digtal sound output on the TV. The latter will offer the best overall sound, but you'll have to control the volume with the amplifier of the external speakes' amplifier, not the TV. There is no HDMI output on this TV. Those are as scarce as hens' teeth. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TV does support ARC out of HDMI 1 only. I've had trouble mixing brands while using ARC. If using a sound bar that isn't the same brand as the TV, you might have to use an optical cable to the sound bar.
