If you do not have a HD cable box or DVR box with HDMI capability you will not get an HD picture. If your cable box is an older one, contact your cable provider and see if they will update your cable equipment. Most reasonable providers will update old equipment to keep their customers staying with them rather than loose a customer to another provider that's willing to provide the latest equipment. Hope this answer will help you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Digital cable is often mistaken for HD - High Definition. Digital cable comes in two formats; SD (Standard Definition) or HD (High Definition). From what you described, it sounds like one of two things: 1.) you have an SD box and wont get HD 2.) you have a HD box but are viewing the SD channels. The HD channels are usually a higher channel number. Your cable provider can help you with this. As an example, my provider uses the Cisco converter boxes and broadcasts my local NBC channel on channel 11 (SD) or channel 1011 (HD). Both are accessible from my converter box. Also, the newer tv's provide a better picture if using the HDMI connection rather than the coax connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.unless you have other HD tv's giving you a great picture, would recommend trying a HD box and that might not help either, know my cable provider just realigned our channels and many of the the channels no longer come in 1080i/p format cause my older Aquas shows me. seems data is eating up their bandwidth But definitely try an HD setup box first.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sounds like you are using a standard def signal to a high def tv. This will not look good. You need an HD cable box for the clean picture.
