No. The only fees you would incur are if you download apps or channels that have a fee. Most of the apps though do work via your comcast subscription, etc. So if you are chord cutting familiarize yourself with the "free apps" first. ie. I watch the WATCH ESPN app and The XFINITY app most. These apps are free, but have no content without my cable service. Hope this helps.
